Korean singer-songwriter 10cm has released a full Tagalog cover of TJ Monterde’s most recent hit song “Palagi” last February 21 (Wednesday). 10cm first performed a partial rendition of the song in a vlog by Jessica Lee where he notably mentioned his desire to have a collaboration with TJ.
“10cm, I’ve been singing your songs since 2018, and to hear you sing my song now is a dream come true. Thank you Jung Yeol! You are an inspiration, I’m forever a fan,” commented TJ on 10cm’s Instagram post of the cover.
The singer-songwriters first met at the KSPO Dome in Seoul after 10cm’s concert last January 27.
“Palagi” has become a clear hit in the Pinoy pop airwaves as the song quickly garnered more than twenty million streams on Spotify alone in just a few months after release. Adding to that, the song recently won the Wish Pop Song of the Year award at the 9th Wish Music Awards last January 2024.
