With only a few weeks left in the competition, it is inevitable that those who cannot reach the top fast enough are going to be eliminated from contention. On the evening of July 30, 2022, six more Top Class trainees have been eliminated after a tense but entertaining collaborative live practical exam with Top Class vocal mentor KZ Tandingan and her bandmates. The twenty two trainees who survived the first elimination (from Episode 4) were divided into three groups: Team Justine, Team Dean, and Team Matt. Team Justine sang “Halik Sa Hangin”, Team Dean sang “Nag-iisa Na Naman”, and Team Matt sang “Marupok”. All songs are by KZ Tandingan.
As this practical exam emphasized the vocal prowess of the trainees, expectations were very high for those who were known to be good singers. Meanwhile, those who did not specialize in singing were pressured to up their game if they wanted to continue their journey in Top Class.
As the competition gets more intense, the trainees have transferred to a new training facility tagged as the “Top Class Bootcamp”, also located in the province of Laguna, not too far away from their original home, the NU Laguna campus (which was tagged as the Top Class Campus).
