A new Drag Supreme rises from the den

The second season of “Drag Den with Manila Luzon Season 2: Retribution” has successfully conluded with Deja taking home the crown – officially becoming the successor of Season 1 winner NAIA.

The finale viewing party and concert was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City last March 7. The show’s co-hosts Nicole Cordoves (the “Drag Dealer”) and Sassa Gurl (the “Drag Runner”) served as the hosts for the program.

The viewing of the final episode (Episode 8) began just a few minutes after 7pm, coinciding with the official worldwide release on Prime Video. To give the fans an exclusive and one-of-a-kind experience of the finale, the whole cast stepped on stage during the episode’s final moments to mimic the coronation scene as flashed on screen. However, instead of letting Manila Luzon reveal the name of the winner from the actual episode, the viewing was cut short, creating a suspenseful moment in the theater and prompting Nicole to announce the winner live on stage on Manila’s behalf instead.

As the winner, Deja won four prizes: 1) 1 year ambassadorship with Avignon Clinic; 2) P25,000 worth of Jojo Bragais shoes; 3) Talent management contract with Cornerstone Entertainment; 4) P1,000,000 cash prize.

As a consolation prize, first runner-up Mrs. Tan and second runner-up Moi took home P100,000 and P50,000 respectively.

Right after the awarding of prizes, all Season 2 queens (except Margaux, who couldn’t make it to the event due to previous commitments), NAIA, and Sassa Gurl each gave a solo performance. P-Pop boy group VXON also performed, having been a special guest performer on the show’s final episode. The concert portion concluded with a group performance of “Sustah” – the original song performed by the queens from the first episode.

All episodes of Season 2 are now available to watch exclusively on Prime Video.
