After the sold-out success of Erik Santos’ 20th anniversary concert last year aptly titled “Milestone,” there was no hesitation to bring the award-winning concert experience abroad so that the Pop Ballad Royalty’s fans overseas could also enjoy what thousands and thousands of fans enjoyed at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Here’s a recap of what went down at the five-stop tour across the USA and Canada.
Erik started off the North American tour with a show in the Historic BAL Theatre in San Francisco, California on June 22. Just one day later, Erik brought the show to Temecula, California at the Pechanga Resort Casino. The following weekend, they flew to Canada for the third show at the Michael J Fox Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia and the fourth show at the Christ Embassy Calgary Group Church in Calgary, Alberta. To cap off the tour, Erik held his fifth and final show at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The last three shows took place in just one weekend from June 28-30.
Stell Ajero of P-Pop boy group SB19 joined the tour as Erik’s special guest. It is worth noting that during the 2023 concert, Stell mentioned in a video interview how he admired and idolized Erik as a singer. One could say this tour finally gave Stell the chance to share the stage with a singing idol of his.
Fans enthusiastically shared their praises and congratulatory messages online, citing Erik’s world-class vocal prowess, his ability to perform with so much heart and soul, his charm and charisma on and off stage, and his impeccable styling.
Prolific OPM singer, songwriter, and composer Cecile Azarcon Inocentes (who notably just held her 45th Anniversary celebration a month prior Erik’s tour) shared a raving review of the San Francisco show on Facebook that perfectly captures the sentiments shared by those who witnessed the Milestone tour.
“And for one evening, we all forgot our worries and cares. Erik Santos, I truly enjoyed your concert last night. I love and appreciate how well you had control over your voice and how well you were able to connect, not only with your audience, but with your very own heart. There’s a big difference between singing to impress and singing to express. You poured your heart out and sang in a most honest and sincere way,” Cecile shared.
When asked to share his thoughts about the success of his tour, Erik has nothing but gratitude for everyone that made this career milestone possible.
“Not everyone is given a chance to celebrate such a milestone in their career and I am so blessed to be able to celebrate my 20 years in the business with the people who truly love me and my music. I hope they continue to show their love and support for my music in the years and decades to come.”
