The first ever concert collaboration of Pop Ballad Royalty Erik Santos and Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose was a resounding success.

The “Love Bound” concert was held last March 2 (Saturday) at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. The concert was directed by premier concerts and events director John Prats with Marc Lopez serving as the musical director.

Erik and Julie Anne performed a variety of love-centric medleys, rearrangements, and mashups. They also performed their rendition of George Benson’s 1985 classic ballad “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” which was released online less than a month before the concert.

In her solo set, Julie Anne performed her rendition of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down,” South Border’s “Kahit Kailan,” and a mashup of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and “Love On Top.”

In his solo set, Erik performed “Ano’ng Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa,” “Got To Believe In Magic,” and a mashup of “Makita Kang Muli” and “Tagpuan.”

As a fun surprise for the fans, Erik and Julie Anne performed novelty songs “Bulaklak,” “Jumbo Hotdog,” “Sasakyan Kita,” and “Otso-Otso” in serious ballad-esque straight-faced fashion. During their performance of “Otso-Otso,” both singers went down to the audience area, prompting Rayver Cruz, SB19’s Stell, and Christian Bautista to give their own spin on the chorus of the song to the audience’s delight.
