The wet and slippery conditions of the POPSTIVAL 2022 open air stage (due to the turbulent rain during the day) proved to be challenging for the girls of G22, but it was not enough to deter the group’s main dancer Bianca from giving the crowd a performance and display of professionalism to remember. During the dance break of their debut single “Bang”, Bianca lost her balance while executing the iconic standing split kick (as popularized in the song’s official music video), making her stumble on stage. Fans who have been following the girls’ ever evolving choreography know that Bianca has recently upped the ante by doing the standing split kick twice, making the “Bang” dance break harder but ultimately more impressive when executed perfectly. Thanks to her showmanship and professionalism, Bianca successfully executed a bouncing split instead immediately after the stumble so as to cap off the dance break as best as possible.
“You did great!”, “Bilis mag isip, galing!”, “Always proud of you ot4 the best kayo. Galing mo BIANCA napaka professional”, “Very professional ka nakaka proud”, “We still applaud you guys. Truly amazing performance despite of the wet stage.” – these are just some of the praises from the Bullets (the G22 official fandom) and POPSTIVAL audience members who witnessed the moment on stage. In fact, the outpouring of praise for the girls made “#G22” trend on Twitter alongside “G22 ON POPSTIVAL STAGE” and “SB19 KINGS SA POPSTIVAL”.
The POPSTIVAL 2022 K-Pop Meets P-Pop concert was held on October 21, 2022 (Friday) at the SMDC Festival Grounds, Parañaque City. Aside from VXON and G22, the other P-Pop acts included SB19, SB19’s Felip, KAIA, Alamat, Calista, and more. The K-Pop acts included VIVIZ, LOONA, Park Bom, Hyolyn, Be’O, and Brave Girls.
