3-member P-Pop girl group G22 performed the official theme song of the historic 100th season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) titled “Own The Future” at the opening ceremony last September 7, 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

“Gusto namin malaman ng mga tao, especially young people, na the sky’s the limit, kaya nila lahat ng mga pangarap nila, to keep dreaming, and believe in yourself. Syempre stay humble but believe in yourself and be proud of yourself,” G22 Jaz said in an interview with GMA Integrated News during the song’s recording session.

“First of all, we’re so grateful for this opportunity, growing up we would watch NCAA…It’s such a surreal moment for us definitely…One for the books for G22,” G22 AJ shared in the same interview.

Known as the “female alphas of P-Pop,” their rendition of “Own The Future” is just the latest in the fast-rising P-Pop group’s series of powerful and empowering performances and releases.

“Own The Future” is composed by Rina Mercado and arranged by Jem Florendo.

Cornerstone and Sparkle Artist Michael Sager co-hosted the opening ceremony with his fellow Kapuso stars Faith Da Silva, Lexi Gonzales, and Martin Javier.

Justin of P-Pop boy group SB19 also performed at the ceremony. SB19 recently collaborated with G22 for Acer as they are both brand ambassadors for the Taiwan-based tech giant.

G22 – composed of AJ, Alfea, and Jaz – is Cornerstone Entertainment’s official P-Pop girl group that debuted back in February 2022. They are currently signed with Republic Records Philippines (a division of UMG Philippines).

The official live performance of G22 is available to watch online on the GMA Singers YouTube channel.
