Telling a story of a brave love confession with their dynamic musicality and vocal styles, RnB Hip-hop artist MC Einstein, Hip-hop artist Nik Makino, and Pop-rock superstar Yeng Constantino, joined forces for “Mahal Kita,” which dropped on August 1, 2025 in all digital platforms.
MC Einstein expressed his satisfaction to have finally released the track, revealing that “Mahal Kita” was years in the making—from producing and navigating their time as artists. “Bale, 2022 pa ‘tong track na ‘to. Niluto nang matagal na panahon ‘to! Last year pa rin namin niyaya si Ate Yeng, at ngayon lang din siya nagkaroon ng free time, kasi sobrang busy nga ng schedule niya. At ngayon, buo na siya, nakalabas na ang song, at palabas na rin ‘yong mga inihanda namin para rito.”
Nik also shared his excitement doing this track, which initially began after sending MC a song, emphasizing his shock after finding out that Yeng Constantino, who he also looks up to, will be joining the collaboration. “Mayroon akong unang kantang ipinasa kay MC Einstein, tapos binalikan niya ako nito—ng Mahal Kita na track. Nagulat na lang ako, featuring Yeng Constantino!. Kaya, salamat dito at naka-featuring ko si Yeng Constantino,” the hip-hop artist narrated.
Meanwhile, Yeng revealed that the conversation on this project casually began after MC approached him backstage in a gig, “Nagkasabay kami sa isang gig. Habang nasa backstage kami, nag-ask siya, ‘Ate, pwede ba tayong mag-collab?’ Dahil kapatid ko siya sa Cornerstone, it was easy to say yes.” the pop-rock superstar shared. “I think it was really easier—indie artist din kasi si MC e. Ang dami kong natututuhan sa kaniya—kung paano siya gumawa ng project,” Yeng added, revealing that working with MC Einstein helped her more to navigate working as an indie artist in the present.
Coming from different genres and performing their music in distinct vocal styles, MC, Nik, and Yeng found working on this project a unique experience. Moreover, with equal excitement to share more of ‘Mahal Kita,” they also invited their fans and supporters to watch out for the content they prepared for this collaboration, which will soon be released on different platforms.
