Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has finally graced the halls of the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Singapore to reveal her wax figure on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Catriona’s wax figure is not only the museum’s first reveal in over two years as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, but it is also its very first Filipino figure.
“Being invited by Madame Tussauds, to be immortalized in wax is further testimony as to why I chose pageantry. While I thoroughly enjoy modelling, pageantry has enabled me to have a voice, to inspire change and to help other women in my immediate communities and beyond,” Catriona comments.
The wax figure dons the iconic and fiery red lava gown which features a portrait of the Mayon Volcano rendered in Swarovksi crystals with a sensational full-length split. The gown was specifically made for Madame Tussauds by Filipino designer Mak Tumang, who was also responsible for the original lava gown that Catriona wore at the pageant.
Catriona’s historic wax figure will be only available to visit at the Singapore attraction for the next six months, as it will also be displayed at the Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong and Bangkok.
