After successfully staging 20 shows, both local and international, award-winning singer-songwriter TJ Monterde is already halfway into the full stretch of his “Sarili Nating Mundo” World Tour, sharing the stage and milestone with wife and Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan—the inspiration behind the track from which the concert title was named.
“Super fun ‘yong tour! Akala ko dati, it’s gonna be routinary. It’s been 20 shows already, pero every single show is just different. We look forward to every show, kasi halos every week, mayroon kaming show,” TJ shared, recalling the previous legs of the “Sarili Nating Mundo” World Tour since the three-night sold out shows at the Smart Araneta Coliseum back in February this year, where the magic of premier concerts and events director John Prats began and continues to be felt across the tour.
TJ also expressed his appreciation for the couples who did their marriage proposals during some of their “Palagi” performances, which has already been tagged as the Pambansang Engagement Song. “Every time na mayro’ng nagpo-propose na couple, I’ll never get tired of that feeling. There’s just that magic, kasi s’yempre special moment nila ‘yon e, tapos napili nilang gawin sa show namin. Sobrang nakakataba ng puso,” TJ said.
Meanwhile, KZ, who performs in the world tour as her husband’s special guest, also revealed some of her unforgettable moments in the world tour. “There was a time na Day 2 ng concert ni TJ, sabi ng isang nakipag-meet and greet, ‘TJ, you don’t even know na you saved a 17-year marriage.’ The next day, nanood siya ulit tapos sinama niya ‘yong asawa niya,” Asia’s Soul Supreme shared.
As the power couple prepares for the upcoming legs of the ‘Sarili Nating Mundo’ World Tour, they are thrilled to interact with their fans and supporters. They also look forward to meeting their fans abroad, whose energy stands out.
