As if the competition wasn’t difficult enough on its own, the Top 10 trainees who managed to survive the stylish third elimination also had to battle it out with the Wildcard trainees (5 eliminated trainees who have been given a second chance to return and possibly win the competition). The pressure is on the Top 10 to keep their spot and prove to everyone that they truly deserve it especially after the fact that the competition started with 30 trainees.
In the 9th episode of Top Class: Rise to P-Pop Stardom, the Wildcard trainees – Clyde, Dean, E.L., Gab, and Niko – got their chance to show everyone (especially the mentors) why they deserve to be one of the next P-Pop idols. Their practical exam was straightforward and highly entertaining but nerve-wracking: perform BGYO’s recently-released track “Tumitigil ang Mundo” in the styles of RnB, Rock, and EDM. Of the 5 Wildcards, only two successfully made it back: Niko and Dean. Niko was voted by the kumunity while Dean was chosen by the mentors themselves.
