Yeng Constantino rekindles hits in ‘Reimagined’ EP

Much to the delight and surprise of her passionate fans (endearly called “Yengsters”), Pop Rock Superstar Yeng Constantino released her special 5-track “Reimagined” EP on the midnight of July 28, 2023. As the title implies, the EP is a collection of selected original songs from different eras in Yeng’s storied musical journey with an updated and unified sound and interpretation. Given that Yeng now has the rights to her vast back catalog, it’s easy to understand why the just-released EP is a dream come true for the award-winning singer-songwriter and why it is just the first of many planned “reimagined” releases to come.

Here’s the official tracklist of the EP:

  1. Salamat (from the 2007 “Salamat” album)
  2. Lapit (from the 2009 “Lapit” album)
  3. Ako Muna (from the 2018 “Synesthesia” album)
  4. Kasalanan Ko Ba (from Jaya’s 2019 “Queen of Soul” album)
  5. Pag Ayaw Mo Na (from the 2009 “Lapit” album)

Eager fans and music lovers praised Yeng’s musicality for how she breathed new life to her past songs and how she managed to make different songs from different albums sound as if they came from the same era.

While Yeng wore the producer’s hat for this EP, Ria Osorio also played a crucial role, serving as a producer and overall arranger. It is also worth noting that Yeng had an all-female band to help her bring the reimagined tracks to life.

The “Reimagined” EP is distributed by Republic Records Philippines and is now available to stream on all major music streaming platforms. The lyric videos are now also available on Yeng’s YouTube channel.
